Antitrust
Collusion among competitors to fix prices, schemes to affect relationships along a stream of distribution, attempts to monopolize an industry, and more.
Antech Veterinary Testing Services
I was one of the attorneys representing a veterinary practice owner who brought anti-trust and breach of contract claims against Antech Diagnostics, Inc., one of the two largest providers of veterinary laboratory services in the United States. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, asserted attempted monopolization claims against Antech under Section 2 of the Sherman Act and alleged that Antech had committed exclusionary, or anticompetitive acts including the use of long-term exclusive dealing arrangements and the use of misleading financial incentive schemes in an attempt to gain an unfair competitive advantage in the market.
